The Creator Nightmare: Your Channel is Suddenly "Tesla US" or "MicroStrategy"
You wake up in the morning to frantic messages from your subscribers. You open YouTube only to discover:

How Did the Hackers Take Over Your Channel?
In 95% of cases, YouTube creators are compromised via Malicious Sponsorship Proposals:
- An attacker sends a deceptive business email posing as an executive from a legitimate brand (e.g., NordVPN, MSI, CapCut, or a new indie game).
- The email contains a link to download a "media kit", "sponsorship contract", or "beta preview build" (often hosted on Google Drive or Mega).
- The downloaded file contains a password-protected ZIP archive concealing a hidden infostealer executable (like LummaC2).
- Upon launching, the malware extracts the browser session cookies and connects directly to YouTube Studio via automated API scripts, transferring Brand Account Ownership to the attacker's email!

Step 1: Engage @TeamYouTube on Twitter / X
Because standard YouTube email support is inaccessible once your account is terminated, Twitter is the primary public channel:
- Tweet to @TeamYouTube: State clearly: "My channel [Channel URL] was hijacked via session token theft on [Date]. The attacker changed the branding and streamed crypto scam content, causing termination. Please provision a Hijacked Account Recovery Form."
Step 2: Fill Out the Special Hijacked Account Support Form
Once TeamYouTube verifies the initial report, they enable a specialized, time-sensitive form on your Google account:
- Exact Channel ID (UC... string): Not your custom handle, but your immutable 24-character Channel ID.
- Date of Channel Creation & Primary Upload Category.
- AdSense Publisher ID (pub-...): Proves legal beneficial ownership of monetization.
- Exact Date and Time of Compromise.
Step 3: Forensic Channel Restoration & Video Rollback
Once Google's Trust & Safety engineering team confirms the intrusion through internal IP audit logs:
- They unban and restore the channel.
- They rollback all unauthorized branding changes.
- They restore all deleted or privated original videos along with historical view counts and subscriber metrics.
